After a brief tenure in the corporate world, Lou recognized his true passion lay in excavation and sitework. Armed with determination and a newly acquired backhoe, he embarked on his entrepreneurial journey, initially operating from his mother's residence. His commitment to quality and efficiency quickly garnered attention, leading to collaborations with notable clients and the establishment of a reputable business.
The company's growth was marked by the construction of a dedicated shop in 1995 and an adjacent office building in 1999, both located in Bensalem, Pennsylvania. These facilities became the operational hub, supporting a team that has expanded to nearly 200 professionals. When Bencardino Contractors began site work for PARX Casino in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, the company was breaking ground on more than just a construction project—it was helping to usher in a significant new chapter in the region’s storied gaming and entertainment heritage. Originally known as Philadelphia Park Racetrack, the site where PARX Casino now stands has roots dating back to the early 1970s, when it operated primarily as a horse racing venue known for drawing sports enthusiasts and spectators from across the state. Over the years, the location evolved into a premier entertainment destination, culminating in the creation of PARX Casino, one of Pennsylvania’s largest and most visited gaming centers.

BENCARDINO SAFETY POLICIES
All of our employees participate in a 10-hour OSHA course, and received confined space training. In addition, we regularly distribute safety briefs to our workers and conduct weekly "toolbox talks" on safety for each job. We also require all new employees to attend CPR classes, and all of our drivers must attend driver safety class.
