Louis A. Bencardino, owner of Bencardino Excavating recently announced that the company has won a bid to complete work on the Fairgrounds public housing project in Chester County, Pa.

"Bencardino Excavating looks forward to breaking ground on the Fairgrounds public housing renovation project," said Louis Bencardino. "So many in our area have been hard hit by the recession and the mortgage foreclosure crisis. This project will give Philadelphia area residents greater access to affordable public housing and help them get back on their feet."

Bencardino Excavating will begin work on the site on August 3, 2009. Dave Fink will serve as project manager of the Fairgrounds project, and Lou Brisko will serve as site foreman. Bencardino Excavating will complete phase two demolition of the existing apartments and site work including roadway construction, new water, sanitary, storm pipe installation, as well as curb and sidewalk construction.
