We have been hired by mechanical contracting firm A.T. Chadwick, Co., Inc. to work on the underground excavation at Graterford Prison in Montgomery County, Pa.

Our crew will handle all underground excavation at the prison including sanitary storm water. Graterford Prison, built in 1929 on roughly 1,800 acres in Skippack Township, is Pennsylvania's largest maximum-security prison and holds approximately 3,500 inmates. The prison compound takes up 62 acres and lies within 30-foot walls with nine manned towers.

"Our company and excavation crew always enjoys partnering with fellow Bensalem-based construction company A.T. Chadwick, Co. on building projects in and around the Philadelphia area," said Lou Bencardino. "We are excited to meet the challenges that the Graterford Prison jobsite brings while providing the institution with professional, full-service work."
